A few things before we start.

What Lekana sees

Lekana only ever sees two things: your point-of-sale transaction records and your bank transactions. That’s it.

Not your full books. Not your accounting system. Not your margins, your suppliers, your payroll, or anything else that runs your business. Lekana sees what moved through your till and what settled in your account. Nothing more.

What Lekana does with your data

Lekana uses POS and bank transaction data to match transactions from your till against bank deposits, identify discrepancies (reconciliation), and detect patterns that indicate leakage (Insights). That’s the only purpose. No secondary use. No selling. No sharing.

During the pilot

Your POS and bank transaction data flows into Lekana’s system. Lekana reconciles them daily. You see all findings in real time. Your data remains your property at all times.

After the pilot

If you continue as a customer: your data stays to power your ongoing reconciliation. If you walk away: your data is permanently deleted within 7 days. Lekana does not retain, sell, analyse, or reuse your data for any other purpose.

Confidentiality of findings

Whatever Lekana finds in your business stays between us. If Lekana surfaces a useful result and you’re comfortable, we may share the headline outcome anonymously — no data, no specifics. Only with your explicit permission.

Your rights

• You own your data. Always.
• You can request deletion at any time.
• You can see everything Lekana sees.
• You can walk away at the end of the pilot with no obligation.

The business behind this

Lekana is a product of Bethink (Pty) Ltd (Reg 2019/034780/07), a South African software company. This confidentiality agreement is between you and Bethink, governed by POPI and South African law.

Duration

• Week 1: Onboarding. Get the data flowing. Capture the before.
• Weeks 2–3: Running. Lekana runs against your real operation.
• End of week 3: Measure again. Same questions, new numbers.

What we ask of you

• A real business on the platform. Real data, real banks, real cash.
• Your starting point — the time you currently spend on reconciliation, the gaps in confidence, the things that don’t add up.
• The full three weeks. One onboarding, two running.
• Honest feedback. The good, the broken, the surprising.
• Permission to share an anonymous headline outcome if the pilot surfaces useful results — only if you’re comfortable.

What you get

• The full platform, free, for three weeks — Reconciliation and Insights together.
• Onboarding done properly. One week, not a Tuesday afternoon.
• A direct line to Pieter and Garth. Not a ticket system.
• Your data stays yours. Always.
• The choice at the end. Continue as a customer, or walk away. No obligation either way.

Approval & limits

We approve each business individually before access is granted. We stay close to each business through onboarding and the two weeks running, which puts a natural limit on how many we can take at once.

Termination

Either party may terminate the pilot with written notice. If terminated early, your data is deleted within 7 days, except as required by law.

Jurisdiction

This agreement is governed by South African law.
